Ankeny Track & Field Club is open to any athlete, ages 7-18. Athletes do not need to be a resident of Ankeny or attend Ankeny Community School District.
We offer two levels of participation: a recreational club and a competitive club. Competitive club is designed to support the serious athlete who chooses to participate in USATF and/or AAU qualifier meets for the chance to compete in the National Junior Olympic Championships.
Middle and high school athletes are welcome to join us after their school season ends.
Recreational club ($75): April 16, 2018 - June 3, 2018 and will NOT run in USATF and/or AAU qualifier meets.
Competitive club ($100): April 16, 2018 - end of July and will run in USATF and/or AAU qualifier meets.
***New for 2018: An AAU athlete membership is required before registration can be completed. See below for how to obtain the membership.
Families registering multiple athletes receive a $10 discount per additional sibling registration. Siblings must be registered at the same time for the discount to be applied. Refunds will not be issued for canceled registrations. Please note there is a processing fee for registration.
If an athlete wishes to change club registration (i.e., recreational to competitive club or competitive to recreational club), please see Coach Alecia by April 30.
Financial assistance is available. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additional fees not covered by the registration fee include
USATF and AAU athlete membership
Most developmental meets do not require a USATF or AAU membership. However, competitive club athletes who plan to participate in a meet to qualify for the National Junior Olympics will need to purchase a membership to USATF and/or AAU.
See the Apparel page for additional information on uniforms.
Developmental meet fees and spectator fees are typically $5. State, regional, and national meet fees range from $20-50.
